Core Responsibilities
- Tendering & Procurement: Handle the Request for Quotation (RFQ), source subcontractors, evaluate bids, conduct commercial negotiations, and draft subcontract agreements.
- Contract Administration: Ensure compliance with terms, manage amendments, verify bonds or bank guarantees, and maintain complete paper and electronic project records.
- Site Coordination: Organize kick-off meetings, coordinate work scopes with engineering and site teams, and monitor day-to-day subcontractor progress.
- Variations & Claims: Evaluate work orders, back-charges, schedule impacts, and claims to protect company costs and prevent disputes.
- Performance & Safety Tracking: Monitor subcontractor safety (HSE), quality (QA/QC), milestone delivery, and financial statuses.
Typical Requirements
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Generally 2 to 10+ years of relevant experience in subcontract management, quantity surveying, or project engineering (depending on the seniority level).
- Key Skills: Strong negotiation, cost estimation, contract law knowledge, risk management, and cross-functional communication abilities
